My Go-To 10-Minute Mediterranean Wrap

This is one of my go-tos when I don’t have time to cook! Most of the items can be bought already prepared and most brands keep the ingredients pretty simple and healthy. Regardless I always look at the list of ingredients on every store-bought product to make sure the product doesn’t have anything I would not want. The rule of thumb is “if you understand the list of ingredients it is most likely a good choice”.

Why I Love Using Lavash Bread

I like to use lavash bread, a thin flatbread that is:

  • Relatively low in calories and carbohydrates

  • Higher in protein than most wraps

  • A good source of fiber, with about 4 grams per bread

The brand pictured above is one of my favorites, but there are other great options out there. If you can’t find lavash bread, whole-grain tortillas can work as a substitute—though nutritionally, lavash is often the better option.

You can add grilled chicken to this, but honestly it is not necessary! This wrap is light and delicious, but filling at the same time!

Once you have the items at home it literally takes less than 10 minutes to prepare! I hope you give it a try!

Ingredients

  • Lavash bread
  • Hummus
  • Tabbouleh (also spelled tabouli)
  • Tzatziki sauce
  • Sliced or shredded carrots
  • Sliced avocado
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Chopped tomato

Directions

  1. Spread a layer of hummus and tzatziki sauce on the lavash bread.
  2. Top with tabouli, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and avocado.
  3. Roll it up and enjoy!
